The Kwikset Deadbolt Plug Clip (“E” clip) is designed to be used on all Kwikset Pin and Tumbler deadbolt products.  This plug clip is what holds the cylinder plug in the cylinder housing.  These are factory original plug retainer clips.

Helpful Hint:

  This plug retainer clip is what holds the deadbolt cylinder plug in the cylinder housing.  Normally, you do not replace the plug retainer clip unless it gets damaged during the re-keying process.  Smart Key Cylinders do not use this size plug retainer clip.
